How Rimix™ 3D Works in Concrete

Rimix™ 3D macro synthetic fiber distributes a significantly higher number of macro fibers throughout the concrete mix, forming a dense three-dimensional reinforcement network across the entire slab in fiber reinforced concrete systems.

Unlike welded wire reinforcement (WWR), which provides reinforcement only in limited layers, Rimix™ 3D reinforces the full depth of the concrete.

Compared with conventional hooked-end steel fiber reinforcement at equivalent design applications, Rimix™ 3D provides a significantly higher number of reinforcing elements per unit volume.

This dense 3D reinforcement network improves crack distribution, reduces crack width, and provides more uniform and reliable crack control throughout the concrete.

Made from a combination of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), Rimix™ 3D improves crack control, durability, and structural performance in concrete slabs. It offers superior bonding, load transfer, and post-crack strength.

  • Rimix™ 3D provides 5–10 times more fibers than traditional steel fibers, forming a dense reinforcement network that controls cracks more effectively and maintains post-crack strength. It also eliminates corrosion risks and reduces construction complexity by removing the need for mesh, tying, and chairs.

  • Rimix™ 3D forms a three-dimensional distributed reinforcement network within the concrete matrix. This helps to control cracking, improve crack resistance, and enhance post-crack strength. The fibers also improve compressive strength, impact resistance, and fatigue durability.

  • Rimix™ 3D is widely used in industrial floors, commercial slabs, warehouse floors, pavements, and shotcrete applications. It is particularly effective in areas that require improved crack control and long-term durability, such as heavy-duty floors and infrastructure projects.
