Rimix™ NanoRebar Reinforcement System
Dense Distributed Reinforcement for Crack Control in Concrete
What Is Rimix™ NanoRebar
Rimix™ NanoRebar introduces a dense distributed reinforcement system within the concrete matrix. By creating a network of high-strength micro reinforcement elements throughout the material, it improves crack resistance, enhances structural toughness, and increases the overall performance of concrete.

Why Conventional Reinforcement Is Limited
1. Polypropylene Fibers
Polypropylene fibers are widely used to reduce plastic shrinkage cracking in concrete. However, their relatively low stiffness limits their effectiveness after the concrete has hardened. In practice, they mainly function as early-stage crack control fibers rather than true micro-reinforcement.

2. Welded Wire Mesh
Welded wire reinforcement is commonly used in slabs and industrial floors. However, reinforcement exists only in a single horizontal plane, leaving most of the concrete volume unreinforced. As a result, cracks may still develop away from the mesh layer.

Conventional Crack Control Methods
How Rimix™ NanoRebar Works
Rimix™ NanoRebar introduces a dense distributed reinforcement system within the concrete matrix. Ultra-fine high-strength, high-modulus micro fibers disperse throughout the material, significantly reducing reinforcement spacing and forming a dense three-dimensional reinforcement network.
This network enables cracks to be intercepted early and effectively bridged, improving the crack resistance, toughness, and durability of concrete.

Why Choose Rimix™ NanoRebar?
Rimix™ NanoRebar utilizes ultra-fine polyacrylonitrile micro synthetic fibers, the primary precursor material used in carbon fiber production, providing significantly higher strength, stiffness, and fiber density than conventional polypropylene fibers.

Benefits of Rimix™ NanoRebar
Rimix™ NanoRebar improves concrete performance through dense distributed micro-reinforcement, delivering clear advantages over conventional polypropylene fibers.
-
Superior Crack Control
Half the dosage of polypropylene fibers provides about three times more reinforcement elements, significantly improving crack resistance.
2. Full-Stage Crack Control
Higher tensile strength and modulus help control cracking in both plastic and hardened concrete.
3. Improved Concrete Toughness
Enhances toughness and improves impact resistance and structural performance.
4. Replace Welded Wire Mesh
Dense distributed reinforcement can replace welded wire mesh used for secondary reinforcement, simplifying construction and reducing labor.
5. Comparable Reinforcement Cost
Despite improved performance, the total cost per cubic meter remains comparable to polypropylene fiber reinforcement.

Applications & Standards
Rimix™ NanoRebar is suitable for a wide range of concrete applications, including crack control, precast concrete, shotcrete, high-performance concrete, hydraulic structures, and marine structures.
Rimix™ NanoRebar complies with major international standards for fiber-reinforced concrete, including ASTM C1116 and EN 14889-2.

Is Rimix™ NanoRebar Expensive?
Not at all.
Thanks to its lower dosage and higher reinforcement efficiency, the total cost per cubic meter of concrete remains comparable to conventional polypropylene fiber reinforcement, while delivering significantly improved crack control and toughness.
FAQ
NanoRebar is a distributed reinforcement technology that uses ultra-fine high-strength micro fibers dispersed throughout the concrete matrix to create a dense three-dimensional reinforcement network. This system improves crack resistance, toughness, and long-term durability.
NanoRebar uses ultra-fine polyacrylonitrile micro fibers with significantly higher tensile strength and elastic modulus than conventional polypropylene fibers. This results in a much higher number of reinforcement elements per cubic meter and improved crack control in both plastic and hardened concrete.
In many applications such as slabs, industrial floors, and precast concrete, dense distributed micro reinforcement can replace welded wire mesh used for secondary reinforcement. This simplifies construction and reduces labor requirements.
Rimix NanoRebar complies with major international standards for fiber-reinforced concrete, including ASTM C1116 and EN 14889-2.
Not necessarily. Because NanoRebar requires a lower dosage while providing significantly higher reinforcement efficiency, the overall cost per cubic meter of concrete can remain comparable to conventional polypropylene fiber reinforcement.
