HTM® Mono is a high-performance monofilament macro synthetic fiber engineered for fiber-reinforced concrete, industrial floors, slabs-on-ground, and shotcrete. Made from premium PP materials, it replaces traditional welded wire mesh (WWM) as secondary reinforcement, delivering improved toughness, crack resistance, and long-term durability.

Usage Guidelines for Macro Fiber Reinforcement in Concrete

Follow these best practices to ensure uniform dispersion and optimal performance of HTM® Mono fibers in fiber-reinforced concrete.

  • Dosage: 1.8–4.5 kg/m³, typically 3 kg/m³ for effective crack control

  • Mixing: Add fibers during batching or with aggregates; extend mixing time to achieve even distribution

  • Note: HTM® Mono fibers replace welded wire mesh as secondary reinforcement but do not replace primary structural rebar

Standard PP macro synthetic fiber is widely used in fiber reinforced concrete, but its performance is often limited by material properties and manufacturing methods.

With lower tensile strength and a relatively smooth surface, conventional macro fibers provide limited anchorage and weak crack-bridging ability after cracking.

In real projects, this often results in insufficient post-crack strength, uneven performance, difficult finishing, and higher dosage just to meet basic requirements.
