What Are PIONEER® HTM® Twist Macro Synthetic Fibers?
PIONEER® HTM® Twist is a premium macro synthetic fiber made from 100% virgin polypropylene or a blend containing some polyethylene with a unique twisted monofilament bundle design. When mixed into concrete or shotcrete, HTM® Twist creates a 3-D polymer network that improves bonding, increases post-crack residual strength and controls plastic and drying shrinkage cracking — all without the corrosion risk associated with steel fibers.

HTM® Twist fibers form a uniform, three-dimensional reinforcement network inside concrete and shotcrete, bridging micro- and macro-cracks to maintain load transfer after cracking. Usage Guidelines for Macro Fiber Reinforcement in Concrete
Follow these guidelines to achieve consistent dispersion and effective reinforcement with PIONEER® HTM® Twist fibers.

Dosage: 1.8–4.5 kg/m³, typically 3 kg/m³ for effective crack control.

Mixing: Add fibers during batching or with aggregates; extend mixing to ensure even distribution.

Placement: Use standard methods for fiber-reinforced concrete; fibers remain embedded, allowing a smooth finish.

Note: Replaces secondary mesh reinforcement but does not replace primary structural rebar if required by codes.
