What Is HTM® Twist Blend Macro-Micro Synthetic Fiber ?
HTM® Twist Blend combines twisted macro synthetic fibers with micro polypropylene fibers in a single blended reinforcement system. The macro component is designed to support crack bridging, toughness, and post-crack performance, while the micro component increases fiber distribution during the early stages of concrete hardening. The blend is intended for applications where both early-age crack-control objectives and hardened-concrete performance are considered in the same fiber system.

How the HTM® Macro-Micro Blend Works
HTM® Twist Blend combines two different fiber scales. The micro component is distributed at high fiber count within the fresh concrete and is intended to support early-age crack-control functions. The twisted macro component becomes more important after cracking, where fiber bridging and pull-out behavior contribute to toughness and residual performance.

HTM® Twist Blend is a blended macro synthetic fiber combining twisted monofilament polypropylene fibers with HPM® PP microfibers. The twisted profile provides superior mechanical anchorage, improving crack control, toughness, and durability in concrete and shotcrete.
The fiber’s twisted geometry creates 3D mechanical interlock with the cement matrix. This increases pull-out resistance, enhances post-crack load capacity, and provides steel-fiber-equivalent toughness without corrosion risks.
Typical dosages range from 3.0–6.0 kg/m³ depending on performance requirements:
