Micro synthetic fibers are commonly evaluated for early-age crack control and selected fresh-mixture properties. Macro synthetic fibers may provide toughness, crack bridging and post-crack performance in qualified systems. Steel fibers are used where specified residual strength, toughness, impact or energy absorption is required. High-performance fibers address specialized mechanical, thermal, chemical or dimensional needs.

Define the application, crack stage, loading, exposure, placing method, finish and governing specification. Then request product-specific dosage guidance and test evidence. Fiber tensile strength is an input property; it does not replace concrete-system test results.
