High-rise building construction using PNE® GS-6060 glued end-hooked steel fibers for enhanced crack control and structural integrity.

Glued end-hooked steel fibers are transforming concrete reinforcement by combining anchorage performance with ease of mixing. PIONEER®’s PNE® GS-6060 represents a benchmark in this category, offering balanced strength, crack control, and efficient dispersion for a wide range of high-performance concrete applications.

 Glued End-Hooked Steel Fiber Overview

PNE® GS-6060 is a glued end-hooked steel fiber made from high-tensile steel. It features a 60 mm length and 0.9 mm diameter, optimized for fiber reinforced concrete. The glued bundle format ensures clean dispersion in mixing processes, reducing fiber clumping and enhancing batch uniformity. This makes it ideal for use in industrial floors, tunnel linings, UHPC structures, and precast concrete.

 Mechanical Properties

Each fiber delivers a tensile strength of 1000–1360 MPa and an aspect ratio around 65–70. The hooked ends anchor firmly into the cement matrix, improving flexural strength and energy absorption. These fibers provide excellent resistance to shrinkage cracking, thermal stress, and fatigue. Their mechanical performance makes them suitable for heavy-duty and high-durability projects.

 Advantages in Concrete Reinforcement

Compared to traditional steel mesh or loose fibers, the glued design of PNE® GS-6060 improves handling, reduces labor, and enhances fiber orientation during casting. It is compliant with ASTM A820 and C1116 standards, making it a reliable option for global infrastructure projects. The anchorage capacity of hooked ends also reduces crack widths and improves post-crack load-bearing capacity.

  Typical Applications

PNE® GS-6060 is frequently used in:

· Industrial flooring and heavy-duty slabs

· Tunnel shotcrete and linings

· UHPC panels, façades, and columns

· Precast concrete pipes, beams, and thin walls

Its excellent dispersion and mechanical performance support both ready-mix and factory precast systems.
