Selecting an ultra-fine polypropylene fiber for repair mortar requires more than choosing the smallest available fiber diameter. Fiber geometry, dosage, dispersion, mortar composition, mixing equipment, application thickness, and finishing method can all affect the result.
Ultra-fine fibers may be evaluated where a high fiber count and fine distribution are desired. However, they should not be assumed to prevent cracking, eliminate shrinkage, or improve every repair mortar without comparative testing.

Why Evaluate Ultra-Fine Polypropylene Fiber for Repair Mortar?
Repair mortars are often placed in thin sections and may require smooth finishing, good workability, and consistent fiber distribution. Introducing a fine fiber can change:

Confirm Performance Before Specification
Where crack-related performance is required, use a test method and acceptance criterion appropriate to the finished mortar system. Do not infer mortar performance from fiber tensile strength or fiber count alone.
