HPM® PVA
Polyvinyl Alcohol Fiber for FRC
Enhance toughness and durability
Since 2002, we have specialized in concrete crack resistance, waterproofing, and anti-corrosion technologies.
HPM® PVA – Polyvinyl Alcohol Fiber for Concrete
High-Strength PVA Fiber for UHPC, Mortar, Overlay & Repair Systems
What Makes HPM® PVA a High-Performance Fiber
HPM® PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) fibers are engineered for ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), repair mortars, architectural finishes, and advanced cementitious composites requiring superior crack control and tensile performance.
PVA fibers provide exceptional bonding with cement hydrates, enabling efficient crack-bridging and remarkable durability in thin sections, overlays, and high-strength matrices. Their molecular structure ensures uniform dispersion, high tensile strength, and superior post-crack toughness, making HPM® PVA an essential reinforcement for precision concrete engineering.

How to Use PVA Fibers as a Concrete Fiber Additive
PIONEER® PVA fibers can be added directly into concrete or mortar using standard mixing methods.
Dosage
Use 0.5–2.0 kg/m³ depending on the required crack control and durability performance.
Fiber Length Selection
-
6 mm: Ideal for mortars, repair materials, and thin overlays.
-
12–18 mm: Recommended for concrete, UHPC, and precast applications.
Mixing Guidelines
Gradually add the fibers with aggregates and cement to ensure uniform dispersion. No special equipment or mixing adjustments are required.
Placement
Compatible with normal casting, pumping, and curing operations.
Note
PVA fibers significantly enhance crack resistance and toughness but do not replace structural steel reinforcement.
Applications of HPM® PVA Fiber
-
UHPC & RPC (Reactive Powder Concrete)

Looking for Cost-Effective High-Performance Concrete Reinforcement?
High-performance fibers such as PVA fiber, basalt fiber, carbon fiber, and aramid fiber are widely used in high-performance concrete (HPC) and UHPC.
They deliver excellent strength and toughness—but in real projects, their high cost limits large-scale application, making them suitable mainly for specialized or high-end use.

FAQ
HPM® PVA fibers enhance crack control, toughness, and bonding in UHPC, HPC, repair mortars, overlays, and precast architectural components.
Typical dosage ranges from 0.5–2.0 kg/m³ depending on application. UHPC typically uses 1.0–2.0 kg/m³ for optimal toughness.
PVA fibers improve crack resistance and durability but do not replace primary structural reinforcement such as rebar or steel mesh.
No. PVA fibers disperse uniformly and do not protrude, maintaining smooth and clean surface finishing, ideal for architectural concrete.
